BSc in Economics and Sustainable Development
The scope of the program is the education, at the undergraduate level, of international students, in economics and especially in the areas of economic growth and development, circular economy, environmental economics and the use of environmentally friendly technologies to achieve sustainable economic growth and development.
The BSc in Economics and Sustainable Development is a four-year, eight-semester program with a three-month optional practical placement, awarding a B.Sc. degree with a total of 240 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits (243 with the optional practical placement). Courses take place in the English language at the Campus facilities of the University of Western Macedonia in Kastoria.
It is an Interdepartmental Undergraduate Study Program for non Greek citizens, in collaboration with the department of Economics, department of Chemical Engineering - Faculty of Engineering and the department of Mathematics - Faculty of Sciences, University of Western Macedonia.
Students enrolled in the program are granted a certificate for their registration, which they must present to the Greek consular authorities of their country to obtain an entry and residence permit for studies (Schengen visa) with a duration of 4.5 years (including 6 months for the optional practical placement).
