Website
The undergraduate program of the Department of Geology aims to train scientists capable of studying and understanding phenomena and processes in the lithosphere and the Earth’s interior, the hydrosphere and the atmosphere, as well as their relationship with humans and the environment over geological time. The Department of Geology provides all its graduates with the basic knowledge and skills required to practice the profession of geologist; however, it also offers each student the opportunity to expand their knowledge in one of the seven (7) required specializations. These specializations do not have strictly defined boundaries between them, as they share some common courses, while at the same time students have the opportunity to expand their knowledge by selecting additional courses from other specializations.
