Italian Language and Literature Bachelor's
Bachelor's
In this program, language instruction ,aimed at improving students’ proficiency in Italian, is carried out throughout all semesters of study, in accordance with the provisions of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Alongside students’ language training, we aim to provide them with linguistic training that is, to develop their ability to analyze language and linguistic communication using theoretical tools of linguistics. The literature courses offered cover the entire spectrum of Italian literary history, literary genres, issues in literary criticism, and specialized topics. Another component focuses on the critical and exploratory reading of texts, which also involves a discussion of methodology. This is complemented by the study of the historical context (history, politics, geography, art, ideologies, and customs).
