The main mission of the undergraduate study program of the Department of Economics of the Democritus University of Thrace is to provide high-quality education in economic science, aiming to enable students to understand, analyze, and interpret economic phenomena and to develop well-trained economists capable of meeting the demands of the modern economy. The program focuses on building strong theoretical and methodological foundations, fostering analytical and critical thinking, and familiarizing students with contemporary economic and managerial applications, while also contributing to research development and economic and social progress.
