The purpose of the Undergraduate Study Program (U.S.P.) of the Department of Primary Education of the Democritus University of Thrace is the development, by the student and future educator, of scientific knowledge in the field of education and teaching, as well as the cultivation of skills, competencies, and attitudes considered essential for their scientific and professional career. More specifically, the U.S.P. aims to contribute to the formation of the student’s and future educator’s scientific and professional identity as a specialist in learning and teaching, education and pedagogy, as a reflective educator with awareness of their social role, and with a critical attitude toward their work and the conditions that influence it.
