The aim of the Undergraduate Study Program (U.S.P.) of the Department of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Harokopio University of Athens is to cultivate and promote the science of sustainability, taking into account that the family, as the main consumer of natural resources, interacts with its economic, social, and cultural environment in such a way that not only are its needs satisfied, but also the ability of future generations to meet their own needs is ensured. More specifically, the Department focuses on education and the promotion of interdisciplinary research aimed at advancing Sustainable Development and the applied aspects of Economics related to sustainability, combining theory with laboratory and practical training, in line with current scientific developments.
