Informatics Bachelor's
Bachelor's
The undergraduate study program “Informatics” (PLH) of the Hellenic Open University is a program structured on both the fundamental principles and the modern achievements of computer science. The aim of the PLH program is to enable its graduates (a) to be well-trained in computer science and (b) to be capable of playing a key role in the development and management of information and communication systems, mainly in the IT industry/market of Greece.
The wide range of modules and the breadth of its subject areas make the program capable of equipping students with the general principles of the science and helping them understand and assimilate new technologies, tools, and systems in the future. During the first years, a set of compulsory modules is offered, covering the core of informatics, while in the final year students are given the opportunity to choose modules based on their personal and professional interests. Studies in the PLH program lead to a state-recognized degree in Informatics with full professional rights.
