Bachelor's

The subject of the Undergraduate Program of the Department is the Science of Philology, which examines in every aspect the Greek language, literature, and, more generally, written tradition from antiquity to the present day, as well as the texts of the Latin language and literature from antiquity to the Middle Ages. Within this framework, the Study Program of the Department of Philology aims at the acquisition of knowledge and skills that will enable graduates:  to analyze and understand texts of the Greek and Latin language and literature from antiquity onwards  to use the fundamental tools of philological science (in both its theoretical and applied dimensions) for the better study and interpretation of texts and the evolution of Greek literary expression, both artistic and non-artistic  to pursue a successful career both in the field of education and in other sectors in the public and private domains  to continue their studies at postgraduate and doctoral levels with high expectations and success
