The Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens offers a multidimensional and interdisciplinary undergraduate program aimed at developing a deep understanding of music through scientific, theoretical, and philosophical perspectives. The program fosters critical thinking, research skills, and methodological competence, closely linking teaching with current research activity. At the same time, it emphasizes both musicological training and artistic development through specialization in musical instruments and fields (symphonic, traditional, jazz, Byzantine music, etc.). The goal is to equip graduates with high-level knowledge and skills, enabling them to pursue careers in education, research, cultural institutions, and media, as well as to continue successfully in postgraduate and doctoral studies.
