The Undergraduate Program in English Language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens aims to specialize students in the English language, linguistics, literature, and culture, while developing advanced linguistic and academic skills. At the same time, it fosters critical thinking, research competence, and pedagogical training for teaching English as a foreign language. The program promotes an interdisciplinary approach, linking theory with practical applications in areas such as communication, translation, and cultural studies, while enhancing knowledge of both English-speaking and Greek culture. Its goal is to equip graduates with a comprehensive academic background and the skills required to meet labor market demands and to successfully pursue postgraduate studies.
