The Undergraduate Program in Geology and Geoenvironment of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens aims to provide advanced knowledge and skills in geosciences, in line with Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework. Graduates develop the ability to understand geological processes in space and time, analyze geomaterials in the field and laboratory, and collect, process, and interpret data using modern methods. They are also capable of designing and implementing strategies to solve geoscientific problems, evaluating environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, and water resource management, and applying appropriate professional practices with an emphasis on sustainability. Furthermore, they acquire transferable skills such as critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving, use of technology, teamwork and independent work, decision-making, and research competence, enabling them to operate effectively in complex scientific and professional environments.
