The Undergraduate Programme of the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of West Attica aims to provide comprehensive and modern education in food science and technology, with emphasis on the production of safe and high-quality food products. The four-year programme, structured into eight academic semesters, combines theoretical training, laboratory education, experimental design, and applied research in areas such as food chemistry, microbiology, food processing, food safety and quality assurance, as well as the development of new and functional food products. Its mission is to educate scientists with strong academic backgrounds and technological skills, capable of meeting the demands of the food industry, public health, and sustainable development.
