The Undergraduate Programme of the Department of Midwifery at the University of Western Macedonia, based in Ptolemaida, has a duration of eight (8) academic semesters and awards 240 ECTS credits. The programme aims to provide high-level scientific, clinical, and professional education in midwifery and maternal and neonatal care. It combines theoretical knowledge, laboratory training, and clinical practice in areas such as midwifery, gynecology, neonatology, and health promotion. Its mission is to educate healthcare professionals with strong academic backgrounds, clinical skills, professionalism, and social awareness, capable of responding to the modern needs of maternal and newborn care in Greece and internationally.
