The Undergraduate Programme of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia has a duration of five years and is structured into ten (10) academic semesters, providing comprehensive theoretical, laboratory, and applied education in the field of Chemical Engineering. The programme places particular emphasis on basic sciences, modern technology, research, and practical training, effectively connecting theoretical knowledge with real industrial and production applications. The Department aims to educate Chemical Engineers with a high level of scientific knowledge, technological specialization, and professional competence, capable of meeting the modern demands of industry, research, and innovation. At the same time, the programme promotes critical thinking, creativity, and environmental awareness, emphasizing sustainable development, green production, and the reduction of environmental impact. Graduates acquire the knowledge and skills required to pursue careers in sectors such as the chemical industry, energy, materials, environmental technology, and research, both in Greece and internationally.
