The Undergraduate Programme of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia has a duration of five years and is structured into ten (10) academic semesters, offering comprehensive education in the fields of electrical power systems, electrical installations, computer engineering, telecommunications, informatics, and automation systems. The programme combines theoretical education, laboratory training, and applied research, providing students with the knowledge and skills required for the study, design, development, operation, and evaluation of modern technological systems. Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates are able to solve complex engineering problems, design and implement demanding technical projects, work independently or collaboratively, and apply modern technologies and scientific methodologies. At the same time, the programme promotes innovation, research-oriented thinking, adaptability, and lifelong learning, preparing engineers capable of responding to technological developments and the evolving needs of society and the labour market both in Greece and internationally.
