The Undergraduate Programme of the Department of Agriculture at the University of Western Macedonia has a duration of five years and is structured into ten (10) academic semesters, providing comprehensive scientific and applied education in the agri-food sector. The programme covers modern academic fields and offers three main specialization directions: Crop Production, Animal Production, and Agricultural Economics. Through theoretical education, laboratory training, research, and practical applications, students acquire specialized knowledge and skills that meet the demands of modern agriculture, rural development, and sustainable natural resource management. Graduates are able to apply modern technologies and scientific methodologies in the fields of crop and animal production, agricultural economics, agribusiness, and agri-food systems management. At the same time, the programme promotes research-oriented thinking, innovation, collaboration with industry and agricultural stakeholders, and the use of new technologies, preparing graduates to successfully meet labour market challenges and pursue postgraduate and research studies in Greece and abroad.
