The Undergraduate Study Program of the Department of Food Science at the University of Thessaly has a duration of five (5) academic years, equivalent to ten (10) semesters, and aims to provide high-level education in the field of food science and technology. The program combines theoretical knowledge, laboratory training, and practical application, offering students expertise in food chemistry, microbiology, food safety, processing, quality control, and nutritional value. At the same time, emphasis is placed on modern food production and preservation technologies, quality assurance systems, innovation, and the sustainable development of the food industry. Through laboratory exercises, internships, and research activities, students develop scientific and professional skills that enable them to meet the demands of the labor market and the agri-food sector. The curriculum prepares graduates with a strong scientific background and career opportunities in the food industry, research centers, public organizations, and agri-food enterprises.
