The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Thessaly consists of eight (8) academic semesters and corresponds to 240 ECTS credits. The programme aims to provide comprehensive and modern education in Theoretical and Applied Mathematics through courses in Analysis, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Probability, Operational Research, Computational Mathematics, and Mathematics Education. It seeks to develop analytical, critical, and creative thinking, as well as problem-solving and mathematical modelling skills. At the same time, the programme prepares graduates for careers in education, financial and insurance services, statistics, information technology, and public administration, while also providing a strong academic background for postgraduate and doctoral studies.
