The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Planning and Regional Development of the University of Thessaly consists of ten (10) academic semesters and corresponds to 300 ECTS credits, awarding an Integrated Master degree. The programme aims to provide comprehensive scientific education in the fields of spatial planning, urban planning, and regional development, with emphasis on understanding the relationship between people and space and addressing the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of spatial development. The curriculum seeks to develop theoretical knowledge, analytical and research skills, and familiarity with modern spatial analysis methodologies and tools, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), preparing graduates to design and implement sustainable spatial and regional development policies and interventions.
