The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Informatics with Applications in Biomedicine of the University of Thessaly consists of eight (8) academic semesters and corresponds to 240 ECTS credits. The programme aims to provide modern interdisciplinary education in the fields of Informatics, Biology, Biochemistry, and Bioinformatics, with emphasis on the development of applications and information systems for healthcare and biomedical technology. The curriculum combines theoretical training, laboratory education, and applied research, preparing graduates with knowledge and skills related to software development, health information systems, biomedical data management, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, networks, and telemedicine technologies. At the same time, it promotes analytical thinking, research-oriented approaches, and scientific ethics, responding to the contemporary demands of digital health and biomedical innovation.
