The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Biological Applications and Technologies of the University of Ioannina consists of ten (10) academic semesters and corresponds to 300 ECTS credits, including a compulsory Diploma Thesis. The programme aims to provide high-level interdisciplinary education in the fields of Biology, Biotechnology, and advanced technologies, combining theoretical knowledge, laboratory training, and research activity. The curriculum prepares graduates with a strong background in biological sciences and specialized skills in areas such as biomedicine, genetics, bioinformatics, cell therapy, bioprocesses, environmental biotechnology, and ecosystem management. At the same time, it promotes critical and synthetic thinking, the ability to design and conduct research, and the use of modern technologies and scientific methodologies, preparing graduates to meet the demands of research, industry, healthcare, and innovation.
