The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Medicine of the University of Ioannina consists of twelve (12) academic semesters and corresponds to 360 ECTS credits. The programme aims to provide high-level medical education combining strong theoretical training, clinical experience, and research activity, with the goal of educating physicians with scientific competence, clinical skills, and a humanistic approach. The curriculum covers the fundamental and clinical fields of medical science and prepares graduates capable of promoting health, preventing and treating diseases, applying modern scientific advances, and actively participating in research and interdisciplinary collaboration in the healthcare sector.
