The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Primary Education of the University of Ioannina consists of eight (8) academic semesters and corresponds to 240 ECTS credits. The programme aims to provide high-quality scientific and pedagogical education for the preparation of primary school teachers with modern knowledge, teaching skills, and social awareness. The curriculum seeks to shape educators with a strong academic background, pedagogical competence, critical thinking, and democratic values, capable of responding to contemporary social and educational challenges. At the same time, it combines theoretical training, teaching practice, and research activity, promoting lifelong learning, the use of modern pedagogical and digital technologies, and the connection between education, society, and the educational community.
