The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Economics of the University of Crete consists of eight (8) academic semesters and corresponds to 240 ECTS credits. The programme aims to provide comprehensive scientific education in the fields of economic theory, applied economic analysis, and economic policy, with emphasis on understanding the operation of the economy at national and international levels. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge, quantitative methods, and applied skills, preparing graduates with expertise in microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, statistics, econometrics, and business administration. At the same time, it promotes analytical and critical thinking, research skills, and adaptability to the demands of the modern economy and labour market.
