The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Physics of the University of Crete consists of eight (8) academic semesters and corresponds to 240 ECTS credits. The programme aims to provide high-level scientific education in the fundamental and applied fields of physics, with emphasis on understanding physical phenomena, developing analytical and experimental thinking, and utilizing modern scientific and technological methods. The curriculum combines theoretical training, laboratory education, and research activity, preparing graduates with knowledge and skills related to theoretical and applied physics, nanotechnology, photonics, astrophysics, computational physics, and technological applications of physical science. At the same time, it provides a strong background for postgraduate studies and research careers.
