The undergraduate program of the Department of Philology at the University of Patras aims to provide comprehensive scientific knowledge in the fields of Greek philology, linguistics, and literature, with emphasis on the study and interpretation of the Greek language and literary tradition from antiquity to the modern era. Its objective is to educate graduates with a high level of theoretical training, research ability, and critical thinking, enabling them to pursue careers in education, research, culture, and other academic and professional fields. The mission of the program is to promote philological science, linguistic and cultural education, and academic research, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Greek cultural heritage.
