The undergraduate program of the Department of Biology at the University of Patras aims to provide comprehensive scientific knowledge in the fundamental and applied fields of biology, covering the study of living organisms, biological processes, and their interaction with the environment. Its objective is to educate biologists with strong theoretical and laboratory backgrounds, capable of pursuing careers in research, education, biotechnology, healthcare, and environmental protection. The mission of the program is to promote scientific knowledge and research in the life sciences, fostering critical thinking, research skills, and scientific responsibility to address contemporary biological and environmental challenges.
