The undergraduate program of the Department of Geology at the University of Patras aims to provide comprehensive scientific knowledge about the structure, composition, processes, and evolution of the Earth, as well as the management of natural resources and geo-environmental systems. Its objective is to educate geologists with strong theoretical and laboratory backgrounds, capable of pursuing careers in fields such as research, geotechnics, hydrogeology, natural hazard management, environmental protection, and the exploitation of mineral and energy resources. The mission of the program is to promote geoscientific knowledge and research, preparing graduates to contribute to the understanding and management of modern geological and environmental challenges.
