The Undergraduate Study Programme of the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture at the University of Patras aims to provide specialized scientific and technological education that enables graduates to manage natural resources rationally and apply modern technologies effectively in fisheries, aquaculture, and animal production. The programme offers interdisciplinary knowledge in biological, chemical, physical, and economic sciences, emphasizing sustainable development, environmental protection, biotechnology, processing, and quality control of aquatic and animal products. At the same time, it prepares graduates to organize and manage production units, conduct environmental management studies, implement innovative technologies, and work in both public and private organizations, contributing to the economic and social development of rural Greece through research and the sustainable exploitation of aquatic ecosystems.
