Vaccines and Prevention of Infectious Diseases
The Program aims to provide high quality education on the theory and practice of vaccines and infection prevention. Strategies for disease prevention, crisis management, communication with the family, interaction with both the community and the Healthcare authorities are implemented. The objective of the Program is to train the participants, especially those involved with the child and the teenager care, to acquire the skills for clinical service in the community and hospitals, health service providers and organizations focusing on vaccinations and prevention of infectious diseases for the general population and high risk groups, during emergency situations, e.g. population movements, epidemics, or disease outbreaks.Eligible applicants are graduates of various disciplines including Medicine, Nursing and related Schools, Health Visitors-Public Health, Midwifery and related Schools from National Universities or International equivalents (a “degree equivalence” certificate by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Centre is required)
