The purpose of the Master’s Program is the study, research, and development of Theater Pedagogy in applied educational, theatrical/artistic, and social contexts. Through theater as a process of education, art, and culture, the M.A. program aims to provide specialized training for professional careers in formal and non-formal education and other professional settings, utilizing innovative theater education and performance methods and techniques applied in the classroom, in museum settings, on theater stages, and in other cultural spaces more broadly. In particular, emphasis is placed on experiential learning of knowledge and skills in areas such as: theatrical engagement of children, adolescents, and adults; group dynamics; effective teaching methodology; inclusion, addressing delinquency and violence, mediation to empower vulnerable groups, combating discrimination, and respect for human rights and children’s rights.
