The Master’s Program in “Educational Sciences” aims to train specialized scholars, researchers, trainers, teachers, and professionals in formal and non-formal education, so that they can contribute to the optimization of education, the development of scientific research, and the advancement of scientific knowledge in the following areas: a) Teaching and Learning, and b) Educational Psychology of Reading, Reading Promotion, and Educational Materials. The Master’s program includes two specializations: - Teaching and Learning: This specialization focuses on issues and problems in school education related to the classroom and school environment, communication between teachers and students, and aims both to approach these topics from a research perspective and to explore them in depth, with the ultimate goal of utilizing the findings to improve teaching practices and conditions. - Psychopedagogy of Reading, Reading Promotion, and Educational Materials: The aim of this specialization is to combine, for the first time in a systematic and interdisciplinary manner, the investigation of the psychopedagogical process of reading with the use of children’s literature and the teaching of literature in general, the cultivation and development of a love of reading among children and adults, as well as the design and production of appropriate educational materials for this purpose.
