MSc in Environment and Development
The object of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program of Studies (IPPS) of the National Technical University of Athens in "Environment and Development" is the reinforcement of the technological research and the production of new interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of "Environment and Development. The purpose of the program is:
1. To deepen interdisciplinarily and specialize the knowledge of graduate engineers of the National Technical University of Athens or other Greek Universities and recognized foreign institutions and other scientists, in methods and techniques of integrated interdisciplinary approach, research, collaboration and addresing of objectively multifaceted issues and problems related to Environment and Development, as well as of the relationships, interdependencies and interactions. This aims to adequately meet the needs of the public, social and private sectors.
2. To provide in-depth training and develop research skills for engineers and other scientists, in order to enable them to generate new knowledge.
The IPPS "Environment and Development" leads to the award of a Master Degree in the following specializations: 1. Environment and Development 2. Environment and Development of Mountainous Areas. The postgraduate studies for the acquisition of the Master Degree durate at least three semesters and in any case not exceeding two years. The holders of the Master Degree can apply for continuation of their postgraduate studies in one of the collaborating Schools of NTUA in order to obtain a PhD degree.
