Program Overview
The Program is jointly organized and delivered by the Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia (UoM) and the School of Law of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). The MSc “Law and Economics” focuses on interdisciplinary education, offering high‑quality postgraduate studies and preparing students for advanced academic and professional careers.
Program Objectives
- To provide high‑level postgraduate education in the fields of Law and Economics.
- To train specialized graduates with a strong theoretical background and the ability to address complex problems through an interdisciplinary approach.
- To enhance graduates’ confidence through specialized knowledge and practical training, enabling them to effectively serve in public and private sector organizations.
- To promote interdisciplinary research on topics at the intersection of Law and Economics and to support the preparation of high‑quality postgraduate dissertations.
- To develop the critical and research skills required for doctoral‑level studies.
Degree Awarded
The Program awards the Master of Science (MSc) in “Law and Economics” in the following five (5) specializations:

Business Sector
Competition
Law and Economics – General Track
To the program are admitted graduates of Law and Economics and related subjects, such as Business Administration, International Studies and Political Sciences from universities in Greece or similar recognized institutions abroad, as well as graduates of TEI departments who have a clear and sufficient relevance of the cognitive subject with the Sciences of Law and Economics. Following a specially reasoned decision of the Special Interdisciplinary Committee (SIC), graduates of other faculties of domestic university institutions and similar recognised foreign university institutions may also be enrolled in the program. The admission procedure (requirements and criteria) is set out in detail in the programme's operating regulations.
