University of Patras

The University of Patras was founded in 1964 and started to operate in the academic year 1966-1967. Since then, it has grown into the third largest University in Greece in terms of students, faculty members, administrative personnel, number of departments and degrees awarded, with campuses in three major cities of Western Greece. The main campus is located in Patras, a city largely built around the university’s student community and renowned for its vibrant student life, making it an ideal place to live and study. The University of Patras has acquired a significant reputation for providing high quality and innovative education and for taking part in a plethora of research projects, scientific organizations and research groups.
